Stop motion animation (also called stop frame animation) is animation that is captured one frame at time, with physical objects that are moved between frames. When you play back the sequence of images rapidly, it creates the illusion of movement. If you understand how 2D drawn animation (early Disney) works, stop motion is similar, except using physical objects instead of drawings. The basic process of animation involves taking a photograph of your objects or characters, moving them slightly, and taking another photograph. When you play back the images consecutively, the objects or characters appear to move on their own.

Green Screen
You are to explore the features of the Green Screen by DoInk app. Start by watching the first tutorial video and then trying your hand at using the app to create a short 10-second clip about Grace. As you will not all have access to the large green screen, replicate the effect by using paper cut-out figures on a green paper backing. Extend your mastery of the technique by trying one or more of the following: 1. Using a video in the background instead of a still image 2. Cropping the video to trim off parts that are off the "green screen". 3. Trimming and combining videos 4. Combining the stop-motion and green screen techniques 5. Using the mask tool to place yourself inside a window, frame or newspaper front page.
iMovie is a useful app for bringing to together the assets you have created for your digital story. Remember that early on in the planning process you should have created a storyboard to plan out all of the parts you will need. Putting everything together in iMovie will usually be the last step in your process.
Your task today is to put together some videos and images, including the stop-motion and green screen videos you created in earlier weeks, to produce a short video about God's Love.
Collect all of your assets into an album (green screen video, stop motion video, 10 seconds "talking head" video, some still images).
Add the assets into iMovie, experimenting with timing and order.
Add a music track.
Add a credits slide listing the different elements and techniques you have used.
